On a recent trip to Catalina I was having dinner at a restaurant that looks over Pebbly Beach on the oceanfront in Avalon. The day was drawing to a close and this group of locals sat down to play what looked like their usual game of cards. It was a great sight to see the comraderie and familiarity they had with one another.
