It was an early morning on my amazing vacation to France, and the sun hadn't come up yet. As I was walking across this bridge, the light started hitting the building in the background so I quickly set up to capture the light and to retain the rest of the buildings in shadow. I love the colors in this shot. 

This was done on site en plein air and is an unframed 9"x12" original oil painting.
